Job Responsibilities and Requirements: You Will Move the Needle: Directs activities of Retail Construction team to achieve successful store openings, relocations and remodels in alignment with the retail strategic plan for multiple brands. Develops Construction strategy in coordination with the head of Retail for each brand and plans and executes accordingly including innovative designs and layouts of new projects. Directs and aligns all external resources in areas of Construction and development projects, including fixture procurement. Drives construction project capital expense planning, approval and management process with finance teams from multiple brands. Partners on the retail store design process by Coordination with brand executives, retail leadership and other internal and external business partners to develop, value engineer, and rollout new and exciting designs and concepts. Responsible for leading, development, coaching, and succession planning of all direct reports. Adhere to timelines and budgets for success. Skills for Success: Years of Related Professional Experience: 10 years of construction management Experience overseeing Retail Construction for a multi-brand business a strong plus Educational/ Position Requirements: Bachelor s degree and equivalent work experience Skills: Ability to affectively multitask in a fast paced and matrix environment. Promotes participatory management and ensures a safe and positive working environment. Exhibits professionalism, honesty, integrity, courtesy and respect both inside and outside the corporation, in all dealings with fellow associates, guests, vendors, or others with whom the corporation conducts business. Excellent communication skills: Written, Verbal, and Listening. Outstanding interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building partnerships, managing conflict and negotiating. Ability to lead, coach and develop staff & vendors to improve performance and achieve professional goals. Ability to set goals and establish performance standards. Ability to analyze reports and real legal documents. Understanding of architectural and construction materials and processes. Able to read architectural plans. Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: Regularly interacts with the public in an often noisy and dirty construction environment often before local certificate of occupancy has been obtained. Location may present hazard due to active construction and construction debris. Standing required for site/store visits/work shifts. Willing and able to work additional hours when needed. Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds. Climb ladders as needed. Frequent travel (domestic and international), often with little notice, and extended overnight trips is required (including air travel).
