Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Operational Risk Group is responsible for independently overseeing the management of operational risk exposures (including monitoring and reporting on aggregate operational risk exposures across groups, legal entities, geographies and jurisdictions) and the quality of operational risk management practices across the company. The Corporate Risk - Model Risk Governance Program team focuses on the oversight and governance of the Corporate Risk Model Inventory in support of the Corporate Risk Model Risk Officer, Mark D Arcy. Specific responsibilities include: Develop strong understanding of the WF Model Risk Management policy, supporting standards, and related policies and standards (CCAR, EUC, G&O/Enterprise Data Governance Policies). Enforce adherence to WF Model Risk Management Policy, supporting standards, and related policies and standards as appropriate. Engage with the new WF Non-Model Risk Management program and the development of the policy and supporting guidance for the program, providing insights and feedback to the program manager to drive a solid implementation. Ensure the Corporate Risk Non-Model portfolio is well controlled and new requirements and implementation milestones are met in alignment with program requirements. Oversee the key risks and controls for the Model governance program, document framework of controls and requirements; perform compliance assessments as needed; document procedures and support key stakeholders. Engage with interactions with WFAS that impact the portfolio, and lead the interactions with the Corporate Model Risk (CMoR) team during annual CMoR governance review. Take a leadership role in external regulatory exams that are focused on Models and non-models; ensure model and non-model related MRAs and MRIAs impacting the Corporate Operational Risk portfolio are well managed and that remediation is completed and validated. Take a leadership role in the development and delivery of the Corporate Risk Quarterly Model Risk Committee meeting and any other key operational risk or executive-level meetings and updates including updates to the Corporate Model Risk Committee related to progress on Non-Model work. Support the Model Risk Officers and the Model Owners to ensure compliance with key Model risk policies and standards. Engage with COE leaders, Corporate Functional Model Oversight, and Corporate Model Risk teams to ensure compliance with policy, and to partner across key initiatives and efforts to support model risk governance across the firm. Develop materials for key meetings including the Quarterly Model Risk Committee, other ops risk quarterly meetings with the regulators, and other interactions with leadership. Ensure that procedures are documented for Corporate Risk; maintain robust sharepoint. Partner with the analytics manager on the team to develop and deliver key reporting and metrics for the Quarterly Model Risk Committee and other key ops risk meetings. Collaborate with peers across WF to help implement best practices and drive efficiency opportunities for model governance and oversight. Serve as a role model demonstrating commitment to diversity and inclusion and s culture and core values. Our ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational governance, oral and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to partner with the senior leaders and work in a matrixed organization. Furthermore, our ideal candidate will clearly demonstrate the following experience, knowledge and/or abilities. Location: Flexible within the footprint Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications: Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
