Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities include: Supporting Landmark-Openworks, Petrel, ArcMap (and other) data management tools and databases Understanding, manipulating, auditing, loading and maintaining well log data, raster images, scout ticket information, geological field data, seismic navigation/survey data, land data, georeferenced map data, and core data in both electronic and hardcopy formats Preparing maps, cross-sections, montages, charts, tables, etc. in hardcopy and electronic formats Downloading, compiling, organizing, loading and front-end analysis of well and spatial data into various Geo-platforms, especially Petrel and Petrel Studio Creating and manipulating map data, performing technical support, and creating documentation and elements for presentation slides Assisting geophysicists, geologists and petrophysicists with database management Assisting with post-well and/or project evaluations and competitor analysis A minimum of five years of industry experience Knowledgeable of reservoir and production engineering, geology, and land terminology Expertise in Petrel Possess strong computer skills in Microsoft and workstation-based applications (data management, geological, and engineering) e.g. UNIX, LINUX, Access, Excel, ArcGis Suite, Geographix, Petrel, and Landmark-OpenWorks Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, develop new workflows with minimal supervision Innovative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologies Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and tight deadlines Results-oriented with excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet tight deadlines Collaborative and a strong team player with effective interpersonal skills Proactively takes initiative to drive hard for success, tackle problems and assumes ownership of challenging work or projects Strong communication (verbal and written) skills with ability to effectively share information Able to work some overtime as needed for key projects/deadlines Minimum education is a high school diploma/GED Desired Qualifications Associate or Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or relevant field of study is highly desirable.
