Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Key Responsibilities Lead team to deliver cross-functional execution of multiple BU's programs to meet and exceed business unit objectives and financial goals. Report performance and align on required corrective actions. Manage and develop managers.and employees. At this level, the executive is also a key participant/leader in segment/company based key initiatives and task-forces Ensure product portfolio prioitization across multiple divisions and align budget and interface points across support organizations. Track and adjust OPEX (operating expense) spending in alignment with project plans and spending targets. Ensure that AOP, financial and product objectives are met. Responsible for business process creation and continuous improvement across the Segment. Align objectives with support organizations Manage and drive multiple division COGS (cost of goods sold) reduction plans and ePLCs to deliver GM (gross margin), leadtime and cycletime targets Drive multiple BU level coordination of business continuity planning, crisis management, and safety compliance including lab safety practices Ensure all ePLC (enhanced product lifecycle) project operational deliverables are supported and completed. Obtain and allocate necessary product development support resources as required Partner with multiple BU GMs and Staff to execute key non-technical programs. May serve as chief of staff. Develop and drive cross-divisional and cross-functional programs. Functional Knowledge Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices as well as the changing business environment Business Expertise Applies in-depth knowledge of own segment/function, business and commercial expertise to differentiate itself from the competition Leadership Leads a business unit, department or sub-function generally through multiple levels of managers of diverse activities; develops and executes business unit, department or sub-functional strategy to achieve key business objectives Problem Solving Evaluates key business challenges; directs the development of new or innovative solutions Impact Guided by company strategy and business objectives, impacts results of segment/function Interpersonal Skills Influences and negotiates at the top executive levels, with great latitude on outcomes; presents and defends complicated or delicate issues Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.
