Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The VP, Digital Account Director creates strategies and plans for paid/earned/owned media approaches, oversees junior account and project staff in the implementation and measurement of digital programs and monitors industry trends and consistently drives the client and team through digital thought leadership. Responsibilities Drive retail growth through building Digital and Social strategies that translate to sound marketing campaigns that drive sales overnight while building the brand over time. Lead and activate the digital strategies for assigned clients, while overseeing the development and the execution of digital creative and media plans. Develop strong relationships with senior level Client(s) responsible for development of advertising programs establishing regular communication and processes to ensure expectations are met. Anticipate Client needs, keeping the Agency in the position of leading rather than following. Engage and activate both internal team members and the Client to maximize effectiveness. Develop team member by coaching, training and identifying areas for growth Digital & Social Advocacy Be the igniting spark for Digital & Social strategic knowledge and execution within your assigned team, as well as for the Agency Identify and usher in new and different Digital Marketing approaches to insure increased retail effectiveness for our Clients and the Agency Cross-train and serve as the voice of digital integration for Client problem solving and strategic planning Digital & Social Client Management Monitor client business daily/weekly to ensure strategy & metrics are successful, including: web and media unit analytics, search performance, social platform performance, blogger editorial coverage, and sales transactions when applicable. Maintain daily contact with internal Account Management as well as other internal departments. Keep Agency informed of Client relations. Ensure that clients understand Agency procedures/systems. Obtain clear direction before Agency takes action. Ensure compliance with Agency/Client Scope of Work document. Provide leadership to the internal team. See that all team members have the big picture on assigned projects. Encourage and motivate all members of the team. Provide day-to-day supervision of any assigned personnel, guiding workflow, assuring compliance with agency policy and fulfilling client requirements. Meet with Client to discuss historical plans, current needs, current media situation and trends, upcoming opportunities and events, etc. Integrated Campaign Development Work directly with traditional Account Management teams for the inclusion and consideration of digital strategies and tactics in marketing efforts and campaigns. Push for digital first initiatives where appropriate. Identify opportunities for programs and initiatives that are innovative and have the potential to drive results Oversee the preparation and delivery of digital presentations to the Client. Collaborate with Media Planning and the Account Team in development of annual media plans and campaigns, providing accurate direction and strategic guidance during plan development. Develop and review creative and media brief(s) for inclusion of necessary marketing checkpoints to ensure the team has a sound platform on which to build recommendations. General Client/Account Support Secure the necessary Client approvals/direction prior to implementing campaigns or taking action. Participate in weekly status calls/meetings. Monitor and Trigger Client/Vendor billing and payments, when applicable. Review and be familiar with all contractual agreements with the Client, vendors and other partnerships. Management Provide accurate direction to Agency teams, and assure support staff follows Agency procedures and fulfills job responsibilities. Participate in training of new employees, when applicable. Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business or other related field. 10 years experience in at a Director level, with a focus on Digital Advertising, Social Marketing, and Ecommerce Thorough understanding of interactive media and development, including graphic design, user experience definition, content strategy and development, and programming technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript). Proven leadership abilities and managerial experience. Strong writing, presentation and client-facing communication skills (presentation samples may be requested) Good multi-tasking, networking, time management and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The responsibilities are many, various, and not limited to those written in this document.
