Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Key Job Activities: Provide development, leadership and oversight of a 7-9 person internal strategy team to lead strategic opportunities across all Stericycle BU s and Functions Sets the overall direction and oversees all activities of the Corporate Strategy Directors as they work on projects to achieve our strategic opportunities Serve as part of, and collaborate with, the Business Transformation team to understand the strategic direction and objectives of the organization and align on strategies in support of this direction Lead the creation of the Stericycle dynamic five-year strategic road map, including building Executive team support, and leading team towards initial financial and operational evaluations of business development opportunities. Work with external advisors in the evaluation and execution of strategic opportunities, including on-going leadership support for our Stericycle Business Transformation Collaborate with a myriad of colleagues and external sources to identify potential partnership or acquisition candidates which support the broader organizational goals Position Requirements Education and Experience required (including certifications and/or software requirements for the position): Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study, and MBA from a leading graduate business school Eight or more years of corporate strategy and/or business development experience Five or more years of experience in a leadership role 4-6 years in a top tier Management Consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, AT Kearney, Deloitte, etc.) Deep and broad business acumen with strong analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills Good financial acumen, able to make financial decisions based on return on investment Strong analytical skills, able to use data to drive decision making to ensure business goals are met Strong interpersonal skills, able to manage people through data and influence without being direct reports Strong project management / organizational skills with demonstrated success in managing multiple large-scale, high profile projects at once. Good communication skills Position needs to be based in Chicago.
