Job Responsibilities and Requirements: In addition, this role will have direct responsibility for securing relationships with the retailers' inside and outside sales organizations with the intention of identifying and converting targeted customers using competitive products to James Hardie products. The incumbent will also have responsibility of securing relationships with the retailers' district and regional market managers in order to align on JH's core strategy while keeping them abreast of our current market performance. The Retail Sales Specialist focuses sales efforts in their geographical territory in coordination with and leadership from his/her appropriate Area Sales Manager (ASM). The Retail Sales Specialist will individualize a plan for their territory and decide on the proper focus areas to achieve market share growth goals. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Develop strong relationships with store, district and regional management in big box retail accounts Deliver business case to position the Company's products and solutions in the stores and in front of target customers Influence the retail accounts' inside and outside sales team to identify and convert competitive product users Execute the prescribed JH proprietary sales process when interacting with prospective end users Develop a healthy funnel consisting of potential HardieBacker users buying through the retail channel Continue to monitor and enhance retail fundamentals at the store level Understand and demonstrate remodeling and new construction kitchen and bathroom tile installation process Perform product knowledge seminars / classes highlighting features and benefits Conduct a competitive market analyses; including existing territory, customer types, and existing competitive products Leverage to plan and manage time as well as customer information Use internal and external reporting tools to understand current market performance and identify opportunities for growth POSITION REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Required: Superior communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others Crafts win-win solutions to resolve customer issues Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion. Sales / business / financial acumen Excellent presentation skills before both small and large groups. Organize time effectively on daily and weekly basis Execute a plan to drive results. Maintain and upgrade individual skills set, per market, through continuous learning and market awareness. Education/Experience: Required: 2 - 4 years of successful outside sales experience selling value-added, whole solution products to customers Bachelor's degree preferred (Sales and/or Marketing preferred) Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus Previous experience in construction environments a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver's license.
