Financial Analyst

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The financial analyst will be a key member of the financial planning and analysis team within our financial services department and will support a varied internal customer base through the preparation of ad-hoc and routine analyses of billing, finance, marketing, and pricing reports. The person in this role will also be responsible for a wide variety of tasks which include participating in the month end accounting close process; producing, reviewing, and distributing reports on financial activity and other performance metrics; contributing to the creation and management of standard reporting of law firm metrics and KPIs; taking a proactive approach to optimizing current reporting and developing new approaches to achieve a greater level of efficiency and more insight into outcomes; performing data gathering and analyzing firm surveys; extracting data billing system tables to create periodic reports; supporting the management and monitoring of the firm s pricing initiatives, including drafting financial and pricing responses; assisting with the development and maintaining pricing databases and software to develop and track client/matter budgets; providing general support in the revenue process, and other duties and special projects as assigned. Successful candidates must have a High School degree and four years of relevant experience preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment; bachelor s degree in business administration or finance preferred. Experience with financial software applications and statistical data management programs, inclusive of products such as Elite, Crystal Reports and Business Intelligence, strong technical and analytical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, the ability to multi-task under time sensitive conditions, extract, manipulate, and analyze statistical data and prepare concise reports, and demonstrate a high level of service delivery is required. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to build and maintain effective relationships with senior management, attorneys, clients, and staff, the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and contribute to effective team relationships while exercising good judgment and professionalism, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks.
