Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Senior Audit Manager position has a large direct and indirect span of control and is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on audits with complex and technical processes. The Senior Audit Manager will also assess controls over, and within, significant strategic projects that may include business acquisitions and technological developments and conversions. In addition, the Senior Audit Manager will help identify, implement and drive change within the audit organization as it transforms as well as developing the talent within the audit organization. You will have to think strategically as well as engage in day-to-day tactical details. The dynamic work environment at Kemper encourages critical thinking, engaging and empowering audit leaders to work collaboratively with others outside the audit function, and allowing them to achieve their potential, while still enabling work/life flexibility. Qualifications: 10+ years of audit work experience, preferably in public accounting, internal audit or a related field. Extensive experience in the Financial Services industry. Must have solid insurance industry experience. Strong management experience and excellent leadership/supervision skills. Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration. Bold strategic thinker with a keen eye for improving and transforming processes. Expert knowledge of auditing and fraud investigations. Bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience; concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. CPA, CIA, CFE, CFA, CISA or other relevant certification is required.
