Job Responsibilities and Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Directs and monitors the development and implementation of short and long-term business plans and strategies for the MSI organization, consistent with overall corporate objectives. Works with the Senior Vice President of MSI to establish business goals, objectives and strategies to maximize financial and operational performance and ensure profitable growth. Examines potential new product and/or service offerings for the markets MSI currently serves, both US and International. Lead and finalize international strategy for expansion into Central America, South America and the Caribbean region. Establishes policies, processes for US and international work and initiatives to increase business efficiencies and drive growth. Identifies potential acquisition candidates and presents to executive management for evaluation. Leads and participates in acquisition due diligence and integration, when appropriate. Prepares various reports for executive management regarding the status of strategic initiatives and responds to questions as required. Provides strong and consistent safety leadership, including setting the example through personal actions and behavior. Actively supports the Company s commitment to safety and its Core Values. Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Performs other responsibilities as directed or otherwise required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years experience in a strategic leadership position. Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience/knowledge without degree. MBA would be considered an asset. Experience in, and an understanding of, US and international operations, accounting and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and business development. Advanced knowledge of construction, design, project management, purchasing, subcontracts, supply chain, estimating, project controls, accounting, and scheduling techniques. Excellent analytical skills and an advanced ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance. Operational skills, knowledge, capability, and understanding with a commitment to operational excellence. Strong knowledge of the EPC business, including clients and market services. Record of success in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships and industry contacts. Strong safety leadership - will place a high priority on safety, with a continual emphasis on driving and maintaining a strong safety culture. Successful history of profit and loss performance. Extensive knowledge and network of industry associates and clients. Affiliation with organizations such as CII would be considered an asset. Ability to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives that improve the organization s performance. Coaches others to develop stronger change management skills and overcomes resistance to change. Ability to interact and work effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization, as well as with members of management. Demonstrated financial acumen and business administration skills, including solid knowledge of financial operations; understands financial statements. Excellent communication skills; effective at conveying ideas and direction, both verbally and in writing. Practical approach to management, both in working with company personnel and making presentations to senior management. High ethical, moral and professional standards - maintain and develop professionalism and accountability within the business unit. High energy level with a strong sense of urgency. Proficiency in MS Suite and other related reporting software. Ability to work overtime and travel as necessary.
