Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Assist in drafting, maintaining, and monitoring Department-wide information security policies, procedures, control techniques, training, and inspection requirements Monitor user activity on VA IT automated systems, infrastructure, and networks. At a minimum, this monitoring includes: Logons/logoffs, File and object access, User and group management, Security and audit policy changes, System starts/shutdowns, file and object manipulation, such as additions, deletions, and modifications, including change of permissions and/or ownerships, print activity, use of privileged/special rights, writes/downloads to local devices, such as Universal Serial Bus (USB) drives, Digital Video Discs (DVD), and Compact Disc-Read Only Memory (CD-ROMs), uploads from local devices, file(s) printed to include descriptive information, enabling identification of printed item, root-level access, query strings, query results Report anomalous insider activities to Government staff within 15 minutes of identification. Generate Weekly and Monthly Trend Analysis Reports for insider Threat cases and activities Support the development and preparation of the Insider Threat Weekly Trend Analysis Report and Insider Threat Monthly Trend Analysis Report Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Minimum of six (10) years Information Technology experience Must possess at least one of the following certifications; Insider Threat Program Manager (ITPM) Certificate Insider Threat Vulnerability Assessor (ITVA) Certificate Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Skills: Knowledge and experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret Clearance required Location: Washington DC Qualifications Requires Bachelor s degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience. Minimum of two years experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.
