Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Essential Responsibilities: Enhancing the ability of the Southern California Medical Centers to achieve high quality patient care outcomes and care experience across the continuum and position as a quality and care experience leader. Building and maintaining responsive, motivated and efficient departments to ensure results orientation and continuous improvement. Partnering with other KFHP/H and SCPMG executives to ensure leveraging of capabilities and sharing of best practices across Southern California. Responsible for overseeing performance improvement and spread programs. Ensuring that Kaiser Permanent (KP) is positioned to maintain ongoing regulatory compliance across the continuum of care, including NCQA accreditation, Joint Commission accreditation, Medicare 5 Star compliance, CDPH and CMS care delivery compliance. Provides strategic and operational leadership and consultation to Southern California executive leadership team, SCPMG, Southern California medical center areas, and the Southern California Labor Management Partnership on care delivery practices across the continuum of care including home health, hospice, palliative care and long-term care. Identifies and institutes enhanced clinical practices based on evidence based research and patient care outcomes. Champions new ways of meeting targets and/or goals. Anticipates and plans for future issues or problems. Facilitates the rapid transfer of best practices. Assesses and articulates issues or problems from a broader organizational/mission perspective. Explores critical issues not explicitly addressed by others. Ensures compliance with administrative, legal, and regulatory requirements of Health Plan and hospital contracts and governmental accrediting agencies. SVP Quality, Regulatory and Clinical Operations Support will act as the primary Health Plan/Hospital liaison for SCAL's Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education and Clinical and Health Services Research programs. Monitors and assesses external environment and internal trends and practices. Recommends adjustments to operations and care delivery practices to meet the changing patient care, business and market conditions. In collaboration with Human Resources, supports and sponsors partnerships with the education community, the Southern California Labor Management Partnership, non-partner unions, and other KFH/HP services departments to formulate strategies for workforce planning, professional staff retention, and enhanced workforce competence related to areas of responsibility. Represents Southern California Region on national groups, both internal and external, to guide, lead, develop, and share best practice models of care and operation. Communicates the organization vision to internal and external stakeholders. Hires, performs disciplinary actions, provides employee training and development, and conducts performance assessments for assigned staff. Develops and monitors the payroll, nonpayroll, and capital budgets and expenditures for assigned areas. Participates in community relation's activities to enhance the image and reputation of the organization. May represent the organization in activities involving leaders in business, government, labor, the community, Health Plan members and health care providers in Southern California. Consistently support compliance and the Principles of Responsibility ('s Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and 's policies and procedures. Basic Qualifications:Experience Minimum of 10 years executive leadership and management experience in the healthcare industry including both healthcare delivery and health plansEducation Master's degree in public health, health care administration or related field. License, Certification, Registration N/A. Additional Requirements: Experience in national leadership roles in quality and service Successful executive leadership in complex organizations undergoing substantial business process and organizational cultural change Successful management of complex projects to completion meeting budget and timelines Preferred Qualifications: Registered Nursing license preferred.
