Job Responsibilities and Requirements: ACCOUNTABILITIES Business Delivery & Operational Effectiveness Ensure appropriate analytics in place and concise, impactful reporting to facilitate a strong understanding of results, forecasts and plans. Facilitate and review financial plans and forecasts for reasonableness against targets , meet Bank standards and act as a valuable resource for Corporate Areas leaders. Support the increasing regulatory reporting requirements of the Finance team. Prepare, analyze, and communicate financial results for the business unit to various stakeholders within Finance and across various stakeholders. Interpret financial results for the business unit, highlighting trends and underlying causes and determining the key financial performance messages. Client & Relationship Management Build strong relationships and provide value add advice to clients to ensure financial results are well understood and business results optimized. Support business group financial performance management activities, providing business group decision makers with financial information, advice, and counsel. Risk Management and Control Review financial information for reasonableness and flag areas of interest to ensure results are understood and opportunities and areas of concern are properly addressed. Ensure compliance with financial corporate governance requirements including policies, procedures, reporting requirements, performance metrics and internal controls. Ensure processes are compliant all BMO FG policies. Change & Innovation Understand/interpret the implications of specific initiatives and provide advice on change implications on financial and accounting systems and planning and forecasting tools, systems and processes. Utilize advice from CAG to coordinate with the impacted workgroups on implementing changes to current accounting practices and procedures. Optimize the use of new technology and information systems updates to improve processes and system efficiencies. KNOWLEDGE & SKILL Accounting (In-depth) Finance (In-depth) Financial Understanding (In-depth) Organizational Understanding (In-depth) Relationship Management (In-depth) Strategic Thinking (In-depth) ROLE REQUIREMENTS Degree in Finance or Accounting, 7 years banking experience, shared services experience.
