Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary Purpose: Contributes to the effective operation of Cybersecurity team to achieve milestones and objectives in the assessment, implementation and operation of technical and procedural controls of the Sempra Global cybersecurity infrastructure for the purposes of ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and resources. Assists with development of questionnaire to elicit business needs in collaboration with BU representatives and others to tailor security offerings to each specific environment Assists in the derivation of risk by contributing likelihood and/or impact knowledge for cybersecurity events that may affect Sempra Global systems Relates received threat intelligence to risks in the Sempra Global environment and engages stakeholders appropriately to inform and mitigate Develops data flow diagrams, interface diagrams and other technical documents used to capture security designs Has adequate working knowledge of IT system functionality, architecture and capabilities. Can effectively diagnose and troubleshoot issues with some assistance. Conducts competitive analyses on (in-use and alternative) cyber technologies and develops comprehensive trade studies with supported recommendations for our environment Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and operate cybersecurity technology and and provide expertise in area of focus (e.g. Risk Assessments, Controls Engineering or Incident Response) Provide awareness and guidance within Sempra Global community on secure business processes, architecture design, and technical controls Maintain awareness of evolving cybersecurity threats and best practices for mitigation. Develop procedures and guidelines for implementing information security systems and practices. Develop and aggregate metrics to measure, monitor and report on the effectiveness of information security controls and compliance with information security policies. Performs other duties as assigned (5%) External Qualifications: Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or other science or technology major or equivalent experience Required Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years Direct experience within the information security field In-depth experience in at least one cybersecurity discipline proven experience leading projects of moderately sized security related initiatives to successful completion Demonstrated experience in vendor selection, testing, implementation, and operations of a broad array of security technologies Utility specific information security and/or related infrastructure background Knowledge of McAfee product suite centered on Endpoint Detection and Response products including ePolicy Orchestrator a plus. Minimum of 2-5 years In-depth knowledge and understanding of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resovling application and system issues. General knowledge of NERC CIP security requirements and endpoint security solutions for control systems. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, Global Information Security Professional (GISP) certification, Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certificate Preferred Targeted professional cybersecurity certifications (i.e. forensics and incident response) Skills and Abilities: Requires broad knowledge of multiple technical and procedural areas within the information security field Ability to develop and execute a quality security review process based on security policies, best practice and/or regulatory standards Must demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems as well as have demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities Must demonstrate ability to exercise sound judgment regarding review findings and make cost effective recommendations to management Strong analytical skills from a business prospective including operating, technical, financial and other related fields Ability to work effectively on multiple projects within a team structure and excellent written and oral communication skills Must be able to read threat reports and system logs.
