Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This position will help drive growth for Teradata by helping to define and execute our strategy around our Business Analytics Solutions Portfolio. This will include messaging to customers, prospects, partners, press and analysts. The scope of this position includes a mix of solutions marketing, strategy, training, engaging with press and influencers, writing articles, creating assets and demand creation, inside sales and awareness. The position is for a Vice President, Business Analytics Solutions Marketing with strong marketing and knowledge of emerging analytics and solutions in the areas of customer experience, finance foundation and Internet of Things. Experience with marketing Business Consulting Services, CRM Solutions, Financial Solutions, Analytic Applications are a plus. This position will have responsibility for marketing all of Teradata Global Services. This includes Think Big Analytics, Enterprise Data Services, Customer Services and Teradata Solution and Application Portfolio. This position will work closely with Services, Product Management, Engineering and Field Marketing to package and position our solutions in the market. The marketing functions include strategy, positioning, demand generation, inside sales, awareness, analyst, training and core product marketing functions to bring product to market. Job Specification The successful candidate will - Develop a sophisticated and detailed understanding of Teradata Business Analytics Solutions and be able to critically evaluate and compare competitive offerings Clearly communicate the details and differentiation of the Teradata Business Analytics Solutions to customers, prospects, press, influencers and the global field organization Keep abreast of enhancements to competitor technology and of relevant developments in the wider Business Intelligence and solutions landscapes; understand their implications for Teradata Work with the corporate marketing organisation to drive content & messaging plans for key external events and Participate as a direct presenter at these events as appropriate Work closely with the corporate R&D and solutions management organisations to understand and influence future roadmap direction and ensure that market and competitive requirements are included in the planning process Work closely with the global field enablement team on training programs and internal communications that will ensure that the field organization understands how to sell and position Teradata Business Analytics Solutions Drive Demand Creation and Awareness around Teradata Business Analytics Solutions including defining assets, offers, creative and ensure lead generation through inside sales to drive to new opportunities Work with customers and document success of Teradata Business Analytics Solutions Candidate Profile We seek candidates with 15 years experience from with marketing Business Consulting Services, CRM Solutions, Financial Solutions, and Analytic Applications with the following skills: Develop value proposition, positioning, and messaging that differentiates Teradata solutions from competitors and highlights Teradata s value-add for customers Plan the launch of new solutions and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan (including traditional channels such as press releases, analyst briefings, internal and external announcements, along with social channels) Develop effective collateral to support your products, such as sales presentations, white papers, proposal modules, data sheets, animations, web pages, press releases, Conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand Promote product adoption through internal and external awareness. Identify and resolve barriers to adoption Develop an understanding of your customers, their needs, and how to convey the benefits of your product to them Deliver presentations and product demos to customers and sales teams Develop compelling content and speak on webcasts, at trade shows, and anywhere your expertise is required Develop strong relationships with cross functional teams including product management, engineering, sales, industry marketing, and customers Participate in internal cross-functional release planning meetings, representing the marketing function and your goals for the produce Bachelor's degree in marketing or computer science 15 years of work experience in either solutions marketing or consulting services marketing Strong strategy & business acumen required Experience managing a team of diverse marketing resources (local and virtual) from inside sales, solutions marketing to demand generation resources Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, improvise, and manage time effectively Experience collaborating across virtual cross-functional teams Effective written and verbal communication and dynamic presentation skills Get stuff done attitude to produce compelling marketing and solution content Ability to travel; ~25%.
