Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and support in various matters related to risk management and compliance, training, and business process improvements. Highlights of Job Responsibilities: Ensure a strong compliance focus within the department by monitoring compliance in accordance with established Bank, Board of Governors and Treasury Department policy, controls, and procedures. Actively communicate and proactively problem solve on items that include daily production status, operational workflows, obstacles inhibiting optimal team performance, potential compliance weaknesses, and department engagement and enablement opportunities. Possess an eye toward continuous improvement by proactively assessing opportunities and gaps in the cash operations. The incumbent will work collaboratively with management and employees to identify, influence, and implement process improvements. Perform day-to-day project management and administration tasks in support of department-led projects and initiatives in a collaborative, team-based environment. Conduct and oversee management reviews of operational processes and third party vendor arrangements. Coordinate the review and completion of the monthly difference analysis summary. Develop and oversee the training of staff and management on key compliance and procedural issues. Oversee department access reviews and ensure access requests are processed timely. Represent Phoenix Cash Operations on the Automated Vault Management Users Group. The incumbent is expected partner with the other Phoenix primary representative to assume an active role on the workgroup by completing assignments, providing a District and local perspective on policy changes or enhancements, and briefing local management on the group s activities. Attend FRS Compliance meetings as the Phoenix representative. Brief local management on items discussed during the meetings and determine if action is warranted. Oversee the counterfeit certification program for the department. Work on department specific projects and assignments requiring knowledge of operational workflow, compliance and cash metrics. Participate on local and District assignments that focus on operational improvements, compliance matters, and technological advancements. Perform as a lead to non-exempt staff and demonstrate the ability to act in a supervisory role in the absence of management. Other ad hoc assignments as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Extensive knowledge of cash operational processes, cash applications, and cash 3rd party vendor arrangements. Knowledge of risk management and compliance practices consistent with a valuables handling environment. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills. This includes considering and weighing issues and solutions from diverse perspectives to arrive at the best decisions. Demonstrated ability to adapt in response to situations as they develop, be comfortable changing course, making decisions or taking action when all of the facts may not be known or then there are no precedents or policies to guide them. Takes the initiative to approach work with a mindset towards continuous improvement by encouraging innovation. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - working cooperatively with others, sharing information and working together toward a common goal. Ability to work with and analyze large data sets to draw meaningful conclusions from the information. Strong influencing and negotiation skills with all levels of management and key decision makers. Proficient writing, speaking, negotiation and presentation skills. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, and PowerPoint). Organizational and time management skills (ability to balance three to five ongoing assignments simultaneously.)
