Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Summary Responsible for coordination and monitoring of overall field construction administration activities and/or management engineering services on projects of a diverse nature in accordance with design specifications to assure that construction projects are completed in compliance with the drawings and specifications, within budget, and on schedule. In absence of Construction Project Manager, serves as the senior company representative at the construction site with responsibility for ensuring that construction proceeds in accordance with design and contractual documents. Essential Responsibility Assures implementation of plans and specifications. Assures construction activities are in accordance with contractual documents and are completed within budget and schedule. May monitor activities of staff. Overall administration of project. Performs other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Responsible for overall field management of contract, the GDOT Construction Engineering and Inspection administration and coordination large size project of a diverse and complex nature. Monitor activities of assigned staff for conformance with HNTB's contractual requirements. Provide technical leadership for complex or unique assignments. Review drawings, specifications, and installation for constructability. May recommend changes to design. Analyze complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consult with design engineering personnel. Read and interpret complex contract documents (plans, specifications, and shop drawings). Collect data to brief the client on project issues and provides possible resolutions. Strong attention to detail. Intermediate knowledgeable of project controls systems and effect on time, cost, scope, quality, and communication. Leadership skills. Intermediate communications skills, both written and oral. Intermediate problem solving. Intermediate understanding of heavy construction principles. Intermediate knowledge of heavy construction materials and equipment. Intermediate knowledge of heavy-construction means and methods. Intermediate ability to read contract drawings and knowledge of specifications. Intermediate problem identification and resolution skills. Intermediate understanding of administrative and project policies and procedures. Advanced skills in performing construction quality assurance and quality control and coordination with design staff. Knowledge of GDOT Construction Specification requirements. Basic Qualification Bachelor's degree in in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management 12 years relevant experience Preferred.
