Job Responsibilities and Requirements: MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Building brand strategy and innovation pipeline for the Pediatric or Adult business : Provide thought leadership in identifying business opportunities with consumers and HCPs. Plays a leadership role in setting business objectives, strategies and principles by providing guidance to pediatric teams in identifying and articulating key issues and knowledge gaps. Participates in identifying and/or defining consumer segmentation and targeting strategies through understanding consumer and market dynamics. Develops the pipeline of innovation ideas that would fuel future growth. Drives deep consumer and market insights into the strategy process : Leverages business knowledge and strategic thinking ability to direct the interpretation, use, and implication of marketplace, competitive and consumer information to improve business decisions and knowledge base for future strategic planning. Ensures that conclusions and business recommendations for all research conducted are clearly communicated, bringing them to bear on all business issues and opportunities. Functional/Technical Expertise: Plays a leadership role in marketing initiatives, providing business insights and recommendations to improve business results. Identifies information needs and provides short and long term learning plans. Integrated understanding of marketing insights knowledge (with specialist understanding in some key areas). Skilled in custom research design and/or interpretation and application, as well as statistical applications and modeling. People/Team development: Guides the business market insights team development with appropriate training, assignments, coaching, and career planning to meet business and personal goals. Contributes to learning outside of defined role on team partnering with other insights leaders (i.e. across ANI regional market insights, across AN or other divisions (corporate, ADC, etc.), championing research best practices, etc.) Resource management: Directs the activities of supplier resources and assists in the improvement in the information infrastructure. Seeks out innovative new approaches to address business issues, lead to the improvement of research methodology. EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS 10 years of progressively complex market research experience in a FMCG/Healthcare/OTC insights function, management consulting or research agency. Worked on global brands/ organizations and has experience on insight creation for international markets (ideally emerging market experience) - understands nuances across markets and appropriate application of primary research in respective markets and has demonstrated the ability to leverage both regional and local insights and marketing professionals to deliver against business goals. Has experience working and deriving actionable insights in both data heavy and data light environments. Proficient in the all aspects of primary and secondary Marketing Research including use and application of advanced analytics. Has credibility as a business leader and leverages business knowledge and strategic thinking ability to direct the interpretation, use, and implication of marketplace, competitive and consumer information to improve business decisions and knowledge base for future strategic planning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to consult partner and work effectively with senior business leaders and business partners across cultures and functions. Demonstrated experiences with interpretation of complex problems, data/analysis gathered from a variety of sources and ability to deliver superior solutions. Working knowledge of syndicated/custom panel data as well as standard syndicated data services such as Nielsen/IRI. Personality traits: Thrives with ambiguity. Adaptable, diplomatic, thoughtful, and authentic. Able and willing to work across multiple time zones, and cultures. This is a role based in Chicago, Lake Bluff AP6 office. The candidate should be willing to travel internationally about 25% of the time and willing to work across cultures and time zones.
