Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Construction Inspector will: Read and interpret project plans and specifications Monitor construction for compliance with project documents, on-site material soils, asphaltic concrete sampling & testing and concrete compression samples Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures using client computer programs Inspect bridge construction (based on Caltrans Standards) Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements Requirements: High school diploma (including some technical courses) or equivalent A minimum of 11 years of experience inspecting bridges constructed to Caltrans standards Ability to read construction plans, knowledge of construction materials, and a good driving record. Knowledge of Caltrans document procedures and computer programs for Daily Diaries, Quantity payment processes (CPE System) Supplemental Agreements (SATS) Manpower Management Program, and Material Logging. Ability to travel to construction sites (local) The ability to work in the United States immediately is required. As this is an immediate need, local candidates are strongly preferred.
