Job Responsibilities and Requirements: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide on-site management of construction project activities ensuring coordination of contractors, vendors and various Bank departments and timely completion to meet end user needs; meet with end users as required. Resolve issues that arise during the project. Consult with end users to plan construction project. Develop detailed program requirements for personnel and equipment to be used, as well as efficient space plans, and design criteria. Provide cost estimates and designs for review and discussion with end users. Serve as liaison with architects and engineers to review designs. Purchase furniture and equipment required for approved construction projects. Prepare preliminary drawings for submission to Space Planning or architect for further development. Oversee work schedule development and coordination of activities through project completion. Supervise and coordinate end user move to new location to ensure a smooth transition to the new facilities. Review all related construction and space planning invoices, ensuring work has been properly completed and invoice agrees with budget. Responsible for related administrative activities supporting assigned construction projects including invoice processing, payment authorization, attending board meetings to secure appropriate approvals, project reporting and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) updates. Understand and adhere to the Company s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. NATURE AND SCOPE: The position is responsible for coordination of design and construction projects for owned or leased Bank facilities within an assigned area. Through the position s construction management responsibilities, the position impacts a department s operational goals, productivity, budget, as well as public perception and customer relations. Timely resolution of space, equipment and furniture issues, can allow business units to expand and become more profitable. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Management or related field and a minimum of 3 years proven construction-related and/or corporate facilities experience and minimum of 2 years prior project management experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years proven construction-related and/or corporate facilities experience, with a minimum of 2 years prior project management experience. Valid state driver s license. Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings. General knowledge of AutoCAD, basic drafting and specification knowledge. Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages. Proven verbal and written communication skills with ability to use tact and diplomacy with all levels of personnel. Strong organizational skills. Significant travel required; frequent in-region travel, occasional travel out of home region, including overnight travel. Availability to periodically work nights and weekends to complete project work and relocations. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field.
