Position Purpose: Lead a base EC successfully as well as manage multiple locations in a given market through support and accountability to deliver sales and service results to goal while efficiently controlling expenses. Each Aveda employee will practice an individual commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in the workplace. Description of Duties: Sales Management and Experience Center Profitability Base EC as well as market ECs Achieve Sales Plan Achieve AUS (Average Unit Sale) goal Achieve Service Excellence goals Achieve Luanch goals to exceed national average Education Ensure all new team members complete Connect Aveda Style consultation certifications for all team members in Market Ensure all Advisors attend Seasonal Updates and modules Human Resources Manage and resolve all employee relation challenges, involving Human Resources as necessary, working with HR partner Interview all potential New Hires in Market Conduct exit interviews with all terminated team members in the market Approve performance evaluations for the market/ conduct performance evaluations in EC. Operations Policy and Procedure - ensure all Aveda policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to in Market Experience Centers; follow up and document failures of compliance; identify all Advisors who should attend Retail Store Academy or other operational training offered by Retail Store Development; identify Training Team Leader to be responsible for new Team Leader orientation within the market if applicable Budgets - ensure all ECs in market operate in their annual budgets, including payroll, and all controllable expenses Expense Reports - review and submit all expense reports from EC personnel All market travel expenses within budget and submitted every 2 weeks. Inventory - execute inventory in EC with greatest need in market. Repair & Maintenance - manage all Requests for base EC and support TL s thru the process in market ECs Bonuses - review and submit all bonus summaries for ECs in the market Other duties as assigned ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The duties noted with an asterisk ( ) are considered to be essential job functions for one of the following reasons: performance of the duty is why the job exists, failure to perform the duty may have serious consequences, limited number of employees available to perform duty, or the duty requires specialized skills. Direction Given: 1. Assistant Team Leader, Lead Advisor & Advisors at base EC 2. Experience Center Team Leaders within market area Direction Received: 1. ED Retail Sales 2. VP Retail & Institute Development Responsibility: Financial: Sales budget, EC and Market payroll, controllable expenses, inventory Contacts: Experience Centers, Corporate, Regional Education Managers, Salon Division Sales Directors Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree preferred Experience: 3 years retail management experience required. Must currently be successful Team Leader - delivering sales, launch and service results at or above national average. Must be a Mentor Team Leader. Others: Ability to embrace and inspire Aveda s Mission and Beliefs Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization Leadership and organizational skills Ability to work in a team with an entrepreneurial attitude Desire to function in a fast paced, ever changing environment Valid driver s license and clean driving record Ability and willingness to travel as needed. Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook Strong customer service skills.
