Job Responsibilities and Requirements: As the Sr. Manager, Design and Construction, you will work with broad set of stakeholders including operations, engineering, supply chain, transportation, development and retail to take the fulfillment center design from concept to completed design. This position requires a firm understanding of engineering systems, forecasting, cost estimating and process flows in order to successfully complete the design cycle. This position will lead teams across the organization to find solutions to complex problems and are expected to innovate on behalf of our customers to ensure these solutions provide a flawless experience. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of delivering results. You must have the experience and capability to create and present documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon s strategic objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be experienced in working with data to analyze root causes, implementing long term solutions and leading teams with advanced analytical, mathematical, and quantitative capabilities. Sr. Manager Design and Construction is responsible for WW Specialty Fulfillment which includes, Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Prime Pantry. The role is 30% tactical and 70% strategic and will lead teams of engineers and drafters from initiation through delivery. It is responsible for onboarding, training, communicating and enforcing departmental and company standards, leads complex mission critical projects through cross functional teams and takes an innovative approach to simplify work regardless of the source. Responsibilities include: - Executes multiple mission critical projects while developing business processes and others professional development - Developing and leading project teams that execute Global Specialty Fulfillment designs, engineering, and construction projects. - Innovating for step-change improvement in delivery, safety, quality, and cost metrics (including fixed and variable costs per unit). - Researching and conducting market analysis to partner with local teams to implement WW best practices for fulfillment associates. - Partnering with Directors, VPs, and other key operational experts across the company to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives.- Driving global standardization of operating practices, businesses processes, and reporting with fulfillment center, retail, finance, marketing, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders Basic Qualifications BA or BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or other technical field from an accredited university 7 years in product, program or project management coordinating cross-functional programs, including external and internal stakeholders 7 years of experience with building and process engineering design Demonstrated ability to lead projects, think big and influence across all levels of an organization Demonstrated ability to develop leaders and innovate for customers Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences Willingness to travel up to 30% Preferred Qualifications MBA or Master s Degree in a related field Design and construction experience in the grocery industry, with an emphasis on chilled and frozen facility design. Process development experience in a grocery fulfillment operation MHE, Refrigeration and/or Industrial design or implementation experience.
