Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The CCRO key responsibilities and accountabilities are: Identify Risk Discuss (new) clients, (on-going) transactions and structures with the wholesale business lines to ensure that potential risks are properly identified and clients and transactions fit the risk appetite as laid down in the Risk Appetite Statements for the NY and Canada branches. Assess Risk Together with Relationship Managers, joint responsibility for all aspects of the credit application process, including structuring, analysis, industry research, financial modelling of new and existing facilities. Ensure a high quality level of submission to reviewing and discussing credit applications which would not meet the required minimum quality criteria Monitor and Review Assess the portfolios on trends, concentration risks, volatility and consequence thereof, taking pro-active actions where needed Follow-up on limit and tenor excesses, documentation breaches and collateral shortfalls Ensure that controls are effective and efficient in both design and operations Analyze and learn lessons from events, changes, trends, successes and failures Leverage risk expertise across the network by actively interacting with other Credit Risk Managers to ensure best practices in the field of credit risk management Identify emerging risks Credit Compliance Provide oversight on covenant monitoring for the various wholesale portfolios using the DOX system Collateral Inspection Planning and conduct of collateral inspection to assess and monitor the value of securities (receivables, inventories) Identify potential issues which may result in a loss for the Bank and make recommendation to improve the quality of the collateral package Credit Committee Coordination of the New York Credit Committee, including organization, minutes, action list & follow-up with HO when required Other duties Lead, manage and motivate direct reports, including setting objectives, providing feedback and relevant support, training and development As a member of the Risk Management NA team, support the risk management function by contributing to the resolution of any issues that may arise from time to time Comply with US laws, rules and regulations, including but not limited to AML and OFAC/Sanctions requirements and the reporting of suspicious activities, as well as all policies, procedures and guidelines Core Competencies: Impact Judgment Initiative Decisiveness Independent and challenging Accountable Essential Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in financial or target industry At least 15 years of experience in senior and credit risk management positions Required Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal skills Team work Flexibility to adapt to changing environment Ability to think strategically Loan structuring and risk mitigation Banking products (Credit) Risk Management concepts.
