Position summaryThis is an ex ng opportunity to become part of our Totem Equities team. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills who would like to utilise their entrepreneurial spirit by taking ownership and being accountable for growing and improving our Equities services.As well as taking an active role in new product development and identifying new revenue opportunities, you would be responsible for building and managing customer relationships, including hosting meetings and forums. This role will enable you to develop your business skills and to expand your Equities derivative knowledge as well as learn about other derivative asset classes.The ideal candidate is an independent, organised, self-starter who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. Duties & accountabilities Running existing month-end and daily Totem Equities services, working to tight deadlines. Driving process efficiencies and innovations. Identifying and developing new Totem Equities initiatives and the related commercial framework. Managing and building client relationships providing an excellent level of service Keeping abreast of regulatory and market changes to identifying business opportunities Business competencies Education and experience Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or related subject; 3.5+ GPA preferred 5+ years experience in financial services. Valuations or product control experience highly preferred. Commercial awareness Exposure to derivative instruments especially for Equity products. Client services or customer support experience is beneficial Strong Excel and Access skills.Strong VBA skills Personal competencies Personal impact Displays a positive and enthusiastic, can-do professional attitude. Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Focused on delivery, quality and timeliness, with a strong attention to detai Open minded, flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirements. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to represent the team in front of clients Communication Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbally Ability to present to clients Teamwork Must be able to work in a team environment Must be available to work late over month-end period.
