RESPONSIBILITIES Creator and facilitator of a collaborative, empowered teams progress toward ownership of customer and team satisfaction, which fosters creativity and innovation Trains, coaches, and evangelizes to teamsand Technical Project Managerson the Agile mindset, frameworks, and practices Advocateand advance thecontinuous improvement of best practices in agile project management, including agile at scale Performs Agile Team Leader (e.g. ScrumMaster) responsibilities for the team Change agent helping the teamand the organizationto continuously experiment and evolve Leads cultural development by preserving and enhancing the positive work environment Pearson values Drive the progress of software development according to the roadmap, from inception to roll-out Communicator of project health and status Build a strong cross-functional team to establish and manage the team s strategy and delivery against roadmap Shepherd code releases through the required release process Coordinator across projects when multiple teams are required to solve a single product development challenge Manager of risks/issues/impediments/integrations and software releases Interviewer for hiring Technical Project Managers and support upon hire Other duties as assigned by the Director Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree and seven plus years of project management experience in software development, including both agile and traditional project management experience. Experience with integration and user interface projects required OR equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
