Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Accountabilities: Management and execution of the construction-related portions(s) of the Project within time and budgetary constraints, and in compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Plans, and regulatory requirements applicable to the Project Report to Program Manager and VP of Construction on the progress and status of work, identifying potential problem areas and attenuate risks, forecasting opportunities as needed, and provision of the means for timely management actions Represent the Contractor s team at coordination meetings with the Client and liaise with various Project entities, third parties and/or stakeholders Coordinate the preparation of various schedule projections for construction activities per contract requirements Coordinate the preparation of all construction progress monitoring Lead the interface coordination efforts with other Fixed Facilities Contractors, (FFC) as required for timely completion of the Project Provide constructability reviews of plans and specifications to evaluate scheduled activities and staffing requirements for each phase of construction, and coordinate the availability of requisite equipment Confer with, and direct personnel and sub-contractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays Monitor work in progress to ensure that work is executed in compliance with the requirements of the contract and schedule Provide leadership in the establishment of field offices Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Core System Contractor s on-site presence, security and access for visitors and sub-contractors; liaise with the Safety & Security teams of all project entities, report any relevant issues, develop implement required corrective actions in compliance with best management practices prevailing in the US during the period of construction Liaise with the Environmental Compliance Manager, report any relevant issues, assist in developing and implementation of required corrective actions Coordinate with Commissioning Manager for system commissioning and start-up activities In coordination with engineering and contract groups, facilitate and enable timely processing of changes and timely release of plans to expedite progress of the work In cooperation with the Project Control team, assist in monitoring and control of project budget Supervise daily on-site work activities for compliance with Contract requirements, and HS&E regime Identify problem areas and provide solutions for approval Implement changes in crew and/or field procedures Required Skills/ Knowledge: A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant project management experience on large rail and mass transit systems Demonstrated experience in construction management of rail transit systems and/or large transportation systems of similar size and complexity in urban environments Demonstrated experience in managing sub-contractors of various tiers and third-parties on projects of similar size and complexity Hands - on knowledge of the specifics attendant to Design-Build procurement environment Excellent understanding of project management techniques, planning, and scheduling skills Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 is an advantage Excellent communication skills - working knowledge of MS Suite tools Must be able to meet deadlines and successfully handle pressures associated with this role Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, Project constituents, third parties, and general public Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential business information Desired Skills/ Knowledge: A transit individual well versed in installation, commissioning, operational and maintenance needs of a rail line as it relates to the system s traction power infrastructure. Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management Languages: English- Native Language.
