Job Responsibilities and Requirements: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides timely and accurate communication and messaging to evacuees and staff through multiple messaging outlets Communicates frequently with other shelter site departments and support staff regarding pertinent information about residents Monitors all radio transmissions regarding CHSi and site partners Participates in ongoing meetings, conferences, training programs as required Helps coordinate on-site community meetings, understands group dynamics, promotes and maintains a positive peer group culture Provides coverage for assigned staff Responsible for adhering to all CHSi, ORR regulations; & other applicable regulations Required Skills QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field 1 year experience in public speaking and/or presentations 1 year experience in marketing, communications, broadcasting Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) or child protective services check Clean criminal background check Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required Immediate, last-minute travel within the U.S. may be required if located outside of shelter location. This is a day shift position with working hours from 6:00am to 6:30pm Flexibility is required due to potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) Required Experience.
