Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The proposal writer works on a team of pursuit managers within theStudio. The Studio is national center of excellence for proposal management where strategy, innovation and creativity are driven into all proposals, Request for Proposals (RFPs) and presentations associated with U.S. pursuits across all industries and service lines (audit, tax, advisory). The proposal writer is responsible for developing winning sales documents through strategic messaging, content writing and project management. Duties and responsibilitiesProposal Management - Serve as a proposal professional, with overall responsibility for transforming the technical and business insights of client teams into clear, compelling, winning proposals. Ensure internal and external deadlines are met. Proposal Strategy - With limited supervision or guidance from the team manager, identify winning strategies by understanding the buyer s needs, challenge the status quo and create proposals that are customized and tailored to the target audience. Work with partners/directors, subject matter experts to understand client/prospect needs.Project Management - Ability to drive proposals start to finish, articulating win messaging and ensuring milestones are met in a timely fashion, from kick-off call through completion/delivery. Management of multiple proposals at any one given time. Strong Attention to Detail - Ensuring RFP/proposal requirements are adhered to (forms, signatures, notary instructions, contract coordination and legal reviews, printing and delivery requirements).Flexibility - Ability to adapt to changing circumstances surrounding the proposal process and adjust in a timely manner. Handle last-minute changes and problem solve as needed. Stakeholder Interaction - Develop strong working relationships with proposal stakeholders and manage their input on proposals in a timely manner. Manage and ensure proposal deadlines are met while producing a high-quality document that meets stakeholders expectations. Industry Knowledge and Understanding - Ability to gain a strong understanding of various industry and the nuances of proposals for those entities. Tracking - Comply and help promote the use of a database to track all proposal information required to develop reports. Ensure data is accurate and updated real-time. Innovation and Creativity - Develop innovative and creative proposal techniques to increase our likelihood of winning proposals. Play an active role in socializing and indoctrinating best practices across the team. Conflict Resolution - The proposal team specialist engages with stakeholders to resolve any conflicts and needs that might arise, but does so in a highly collaborative, timely and respectful manner. Communicate with members of the team to ensure takeaways and learning development when conflicts arise. This individual can handle many of the conflicts independently but is expected to engage leadership as needed. Branding theStudio - Elevate theStudio s reputation and strengthen brand by team building, demonstrating strategic sales process through proposal management, resolving issues as they arise, communicating results and findings, and creating best practices to increase success rate. Qualifications Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism or related field or 2-5 plus years of marketing experience; professional services experience a plus.Previous proposal experience highly desired.Excellent communication skills and command of the English language, including excellent grammar, sentence structure, editing and proofreading skills. Sound skill with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
