Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The position is responsible for the direction of small to medium sized projects, ensuring consistency with the corporate strategy, consistency of process across projects, and customer satisfaction with the processes and results. This position interprets all pertinent operational and financial data, summarizes issues and examines the market forces to present comprehensive analyses. Comprehensive analyses will include collation and evaluation of data from a variety of sources, drawing conclusions relative to available data, and identifying alternative options and recommendations, prepare financial impact analysis and prepare final report. The position will participate in presentations involving all levels of management. Responsibilities Analyze, synthesize and interpret business data and use a creative problem solving approach to solve business issues. Projects and assignments may include medium to large projects to assist Senior Management decision making: Operational and/or financial analysis Strategic assessment of current and future growth opportunities. Analysis and research in support of specific business strategies. Financial scenario modeling of potential initiatives and investments and comprehensive financial analysis. Create models to forecast business variables for specific projects that may include limited integration with other entities. Based on specific business requirements, develop ad hoc analysis for senior management to assess current/historical trends and the potential impact on future operations and profitability. Interact with Senior Management from DHS, SMDV, DHP on matters involving strategic planning, operations and financial models often requiring coordination between the organizations. Identify and provide guidance to Associate Analyst to identify appropriate analysis techniques and methods for presenting the data in a way that it meets the customer s needs. Develop and maintain subject matter data expertise in one or more subject areas and provide guidance to other analysts in these areas. Utilize project management knowledge and skills for assigned projects. Develop and manage project plan from original concept through final implementation. Monitor and report to the project owners the project progress, timeframe, scope, quality, cost and risk. Facilitate identification of issues, assign responsibility and ensure proper resolution. Assist Senior Corporate Business Analysts in the development of project solutions by working closely with customers to obtain in-depth understanding of the business need in order to develop business requirements. Proactively identify problems and facilitate process improvement opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field with 3-5 years of business or finance experience. Healthcare experience to include ambulatory, inpatient, professional billing, regulatory, coding, insurance, operations, administration or other related area. Experience with spreadsheets, database applications and reporting tools to create, manipulate, interpret and repot from complex data sources. Proficient in using reporting tools (Crystal, Access, Comshare, SQL, Qlik View) used to fill data/information requests. Proven ability with data interpretation and identification of trends and anomalies. Solid knowledge and understanding of database structures, query languages and concepts. Strong analytical, critical thinking, financial analysis and problem solving skills to identify issues and trends, create innovative options and make recommendations for management to act on. Excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong time management skills for working on multiple projects at a given time and meeting assigned deadlines. Strong presentation skills and group facilitation skills with the ability to present oneself and one s ideas with clarity, confidence and poise. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree. Prior experience in an integrated healthcare delivery system. Project management experience. Subject matter expertise in one or more healthcare related subject areas: specific specialty/business line or business/administrative aspect.
