Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The position will be directly responsible for achieving/exceeding sales goals through the acquisition and development of new customers and the expansion of additional services/products within the existing customer base. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Focuses on new markets and new business development initiatives through the implementation of comprehensive sales & marketing strategies/campaigns. Maintains & increases revenue/profitability, while managing the entire sales cycle, including, but not limited to, prospecting, design/redesign work flows, account maintenance, proposals, contracts, price increases, bids, and contract renewals. Implements new strategies to maximize revenue and profits through the maintenance and penetration of existing customers as well as seeking out and closing new business opportunities. Oversees the maintenance of current and prospective database customer information (contract dates, PI schedules, special contract addendums, competitive pricing models, volume history, frequency of service offerings, etc.). Maintains customer profiles and account records through periodic sales calls to establish and build relationships. Serves as strategic account liaison to customers and Stericycle operations. Coordinates communication and resolves problems through collaboration between the field sales group and all corporate and operational personnel. Assists Sales Management team with projects as required or requested, including, but not limited to, New Hire Training, Subject Matter Expert Content, Pricing Guidance, Organization, and Team Leadership. Position Requirements Education equivalent to college degree, in business or marketing, or the equivalent in related work experience. While working with minimum direction, demonstrates the ability to manage complex sales processes in related field, while possessing strong account management skills. Combination of five or more years of direct and indirect sales experience with a focus on business development and/or emerging markets, or the equivalent in related work experience. Demonstrates sound knowledge of computerized customer databases with proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, used in developing and implementing sales strategies for customers/prospects. Must be able to travel. Travel varies in frequency and duration.
