Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: SOX/COSO Program Work collaboratively with internal business units to achieve SOX/COSO program objectives. Act as a point of contact with external auditor team related to SOX/COSO program. Manage the SOX/COSO program calendar and act as liaison with testers, process owners, and Bank management. Maintain the SOX/COSO information database for the District and ensure documentation is accurate and current. Participate as a member of the System COSO Coordinator Workgroup. Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the issuance of the Bank s annual financial statements. Expense Accounting Support Expense Accounting unit with special projects and ad-hoc research, such as unusual accounting related events, GL account analysis, and account reconciliations. Understand and scrutinize key accounting processes, evaluate risks, and identify controls as necessary. Develop subject matter expertise and be recognized as a System accounting resource. Influence, lead and participate in District and System projects and initiatives. Actively work to ensure the Bank is in compliance with System and GAAP policies and principles. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field, required. CPA or CIA accreditation, desirable. 2-4 years of related experience in accounting, auditing, regulatory compliance. Experience in Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) management reporting requirements, desirable. Be collaborative: demonstrate a commitment to team goals; build networks with diverse stakeholders. Exhibit personal accountability: set and uphold high standards; take ownership for personal and team results; exercise good judgment in the use of sensitive information pertaining to external and internal customers and operations. Be innovative: approach work with a bias for action and a mindset of continuous improvement; seek diversity of thought on plans from others and be open to new ideas; encourage innovative thinking and facilitate brainstorming. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications, Visio, and SharePoint.
