Seeking a Senior Java Developer. The candidate must be able to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements, define application scope, objectives and implement solutions. Must be able to communicate with the business team members on the status of various projects worked on at any point in time. Will monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts and will be held accountable on the delivery of solutions on time. Should have strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms. An understanding of basic concepts, terminology and practical application of current an emerging technologies required. The candidate should possess expertise in systems analysis and design, software development and implementation.
Capability of working individually and in project teams. Developing multi-tier applications using Java, J2EE, JDBC, XML is required. Knowledge of Oracle programming languages including PL/SQL and Oracle Forms is a must. A working knowledge of data integration/ETL tools is a plus along with expertise with Oracle ERP applications. Should have 5-7 years of experience in: Oracle applications and Oracle tools in an Oracle 8i/9i/10g environment. Experience in the; Oracle 10g environment is a plus; PL/SQL programming, Oracle Forms 10g development; Unix shell scripting; Application of software development methodology and disciplined software development techniques are required. Desirable skills: Development and implementation of retail point of sale or supporting store systems; Creation of multi-tier applications using Java, J2EE, JDBC, XML
o Experience with Oracle Applications such as Oracle AR, GL is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is required. An advanced technology degree is a plus.
