Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Serves as primary credit risk partner to designated business units. Evaluates and makes credit decisions on new transactions and renewals, ensuring quality and soundness, and alignment with the business risk appetite. Credit transactions will often be large and complex. Serves on credit committees and/or has signing authority for certain credit transactions. Also has broader oversight and responsibilities for the assigned portfolio(s), including but not limited to credit strategy, credit policies and procedures, emerging risk identification, and exception management. Requires significant credit experience and an ability to serve as the primary credit liaison for senior business leaders and their relationship managers. May have occasional client contact. Responsibilities: Must be able to manage multiple complex requests and transactions at the same time, and maintain credit responsibility for at least 100 commercial accounts, aggregating in the billions of credit exposure and representing significant risk to the bank.Must be experienced in analyzing and understanding a variety of loan types and structures, assessing myriad credit risks, analyzing balance sheets, income and cash flow statements, and projection models.Must be able to work and negotiate with, and render credit decisions to senior business partners, including Managing Directors and members of the banks executive management team.Will have occasional client contact, at the CEO, CFO level and will be presented as a key decision maker in those settings.Will spend significant time with senior business leaders as their primary credit risk partner and will directly influence the credit risk strategy that will be critical to the business and its operating model.Serve as primary credit partner to assigned businesses/portfolios, including involvement in strategic discussions, management meetings and the development of credit strategies that align to business objectives. Perform portfolio management duties including but not limited to such items as the credit component of strategic plans, involvement in relevant credit policies and procedures, limit and concentration management, and exception management. Review and approval of commercial credit requests, including rigorous analysis of complex loan transactions, generally in the seven and eight figure ranges but depending upon assigned portfolios, could extend to $100 Million or more. Experience in a wholesale credit underwriting and/or transactional approval role. Proven ability to make credit decisions, including complex transactions, while interacting collaboratively with key partners. At least 15 years' experience. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Floor Plan Financing. Ability to perform duties while interacting collaboratively and productively with business partners. Credit training and multiple years of wholesale credit experience involving credit analysis and transaction structuring, Must be able to operate independently. Must have ability to deliver difficult messages professionally and in a non-confrontational manner. Strong analytical, decision making and interpersonal skills. Strong decision making skills, including the ability to manage multiple accounts and transactions and make high quality credit approval decisions within agreed upon service level agreements.
