Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities for the Buildings Estimator include: Provide estimates of industrial buildings to evaluate conceptual alternates and support economic evaluations. Utilize historical data with appropriate installation factors, site specific factors, and experience to produce cost estimates for project authorization and execution purposes including: Control Buildings Occupied office space Maintenance shops Warehouses Laboratories Medical/ First Aid/ Fire Station/ Security/ Food Service and Dining Collects and correlates necessary project related cost and schedule data needed to determine equipment, material, subcontract, construction labor, expenses, and indirect costs such as engineering, taxes, etc. Ensures accuracy of the estimate by working closely with the Building Team and Project Team to understand scope and details of project including: Blast resistant structural design HVAC/Plumbing requirements Architectural requirements Electrical requirements Process Automation requirements Office utilization Information Technology (IT) / AV Keeps abreast of global economic trends and execution methods that affect capital costs. (Projects in US/ Canada/ Latin America) Maintain database of building cost estimates project metrics. Required Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating industrial buildings inside large chemical & petrochemical facilities is required. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering is preferred At least 8 years of experience in estimating buildings inside large chemical & petrochemical facilities is preferred. Experience in all phases of estimating from conceptual through detailed design for project authorization/funding. Experience estimating buildings for architectural/ Structural / Mechanical / Electrical/ plumbing, and IT/AV scope. Prior experience as a lead estimator. Minimum 3 years of experience with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator tool is preferred. Experience in using estimating software specialized in Buildings such as R-Means or equivalent. Excellent communication skills and ability to multi task.
