Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Systems Engineer, SeniorKey Role:Serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and apply systems engineering practices to support the development and acquisition of war fighting systems in various stages of development and acquisition at located at the Washington Navy Yard. Lead or support technical and engineering tasks on behalf of the program office, including the design, requirements analysis, systems analysis, development, system-of-systems integration, acquisition planning, test and evaluation, mission or capability planning, reliability or maintainability of systems being developed for US Navy platforms, including surface ships, surface launched weapons, deployable sensors, and arrays, and unmanned subsurface systems. Apply analytical and systematic approaches to support the mission or capability planning, requirements analysis, human factors, reliability or maintainability, and system-of-systems integration and resolve problems of work flow, organization, and planning. Maintain responsibility for supporting the development of systems engineering documentation, including Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Capability Development Document (CDD), Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM), and configuration and risk management artifacts. Basic Qualifications:-5 years of experience with supporting projects and systems developed under the NAVSEA Systems Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) or comparable DoD SE process-Experience with supporting the design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts, including Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), requirements analysis, interface design, system architecture development, and system performance analysis-Experience with complex System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering development and acquisition efforts-Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle-Secret clearance required-BS degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics Additional Qualifications:-Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)-Experience with Navy C4I systems engineering, developing platform architecture, technology roadmap, analysis of alternatives, and delivery of network architectures for Navy shipbuilding programs-Experience with complex System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering development and acquisition efforts, including the integration of networked systems-MA or MS degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics-Project Management Professional Certification.
