Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Key Responsibilities Under senior CM supervision, assist with the development of project specifications and subcontractor solicitations for demolition and remediation work Responsible for overall field safety of subcontractors and other onsite Wood personnel; Manage/oversee subcontractors during demolition and remediation projects Review plans and specifications for constructability during design Perform routine, well-defined field and office assignments (technical and non-technical); receive detailed instructions on objectives, complex features, and possible solutions; receive close supervision and review of work; with experience, may be assigned some tasks with minimal supervision Conduct pre-bid, preconstruction, progress, tool box safety meetings, and planning meetings Write/edit project execution, work plans, HASP, SAP, and QAPP plans, interfacing with environmental professionals to gather information needed Review and tracking payment applications, requests for information, change order requests and other project submittals Prepare preliminary cost estimates for demolition and remediation projects Conduct project closeout activities including final inspections, completion of punch lists, record drawings, and contract closeout Maintain project field records so that final reports can be assembled quickly and efficiently Complete daily, weekly and monthly summary reports Develop and maintain project schedules Learn and stay up-to-date on guidance, state and federal environmental/construction regulations, reviews, and methods relevant to demolition and remediation of contaminated sites Maintain and develop vendor and other professional contacts Participate in training events, project meetings, and construction/engineering team meetings Complete operation and maintenance inspections of remediation systems under the supervision of an experienced operator Will travel to project sites across North America - Approximately 50% overnight travel Skills / Qualifications Required High School diploma or equivalent required Approximately 5-10 years construction management-related experience preferably in demolition, environmental remediation and/or civil type projects OSHA HAZWOPER 40 hr training in accordance with 29CFR1910.120 OSHA HAZWOPER Site Supervisor OSHA 10 or 30 hr Construction Safety Computer knowledge of MS Word, Excel Understanding of means and methods associated with demolition work, environmental remediation technologies, civil type work, CSI specifications, and construction drawings Understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and general building systems Strong fundamental math skills Maintains and advocates a safe working environment Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and organizational abilities Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required Must pass drug test, entrance physical, and background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy Preferred B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree PE/PG registration a plus but not required Three client references from large demolition or remediation projects.
