Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Summary: The IP Counsel will be responsible for coordinating patent prosecution with outside counsel and internal IP counsel. You will manage patent committees, develop invention disclosures and drive identification of innovation. You will lead invention harvesting sessions and assist inventors in drafting high quality invention disclosures. The IP Counsel will shape and execute on Citrix's strategic patenting plan and conduct reviews of patent portfolio as required. You will create IP training material and provide training sessions to various businesses and geographies. You will coordinate with legal department counterparts in divisions and geographies. You will also support other internal legal activities, including M&A and litigation. Qualifications: Successful candidate will have expertise in patent prosecution, particularly in virtualization, networking, cloud, mobility, and content collaboration technology spaces Software development or engineering work experience required Candidates without a technical background or with only a litigation background will not be considered Extensive knowledge and understanding of technology and industry related to businesses Familiarity with U.S. federal and state laws and worldwide laws concerning intellectual property Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team Ability to work with remote clients and to interface with outside counsel, engineers and all internal departments Strong writing and presentation skills Top academic credentials Large firm and/or in-house corporate experience Travel as needed to offices worldwide, including India Requirements: JD and license to practice. Must be in good standing with one or more states Two to four (2-4) years of patent prosecution experience Software or related engineering degree Patent bar accreditation required.
