Job Responsibilities and Requirements: You will do: Develop project solutions to bring value to existing customers and a competitive advantage to bid situations. Develop and deliver technical proposals to customers. Prepare cost estimates and proposals for HVAC systems to include ductwork, plumbing and piping systems, and equipment for commercial projects (i.e., installations, retrofits, and equipment replacements). These estimates will be for plan & spec, design-build, and design assist style projects. Perform field surveys and collaborate with our operations team to confirm scope logistics and validate estimates. Support sales and operations for project opportunities. Specifically, focus on design-build, more complex opportunities, and opportunities where there is potential for operational and/or energy pay-backs. Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with owner-direct customers and general contractors, as well as create strong partnerships with select engineers and vendors. Develop trusting relationships with customers and ensure customers have positive relationships with as many ColonialWebb personnel as possible (make them Raving Fans of ColonialWebb). Be involved in industry associated networking groups. What we are looking for: Experience, Education, and Certifications: Candidates with both technical (HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical) knowledge and business development experience are preferred. However, we will consider candidates that have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess the ability to develop technical and mechanical expertise. Industry related certifications: LEED AP, CEM, PEM (nice to have, but not required). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong technical, mechanical knowledge (HVAC, Ductwork, Plumbing, and Piping). Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Understanding of building materials, engineering standards, and codes. Demonstrated skills and experience with Microsoft Excel. FastEst and QuickPen experience is a plus, but not required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and phone skills. Demonstrated skills, experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and the ability to interpret computerized cost data. Ability to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Client management skills; able to manage customer relationships, perceptions and expectations. Personal and Professional Attributes: Focus and orientation for growth. Adaptable, persuasive, passionate, confident and positive. Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter. Strong analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Professional demeanor and positive attitude. Insight; ability to gather and make sense of new information.
