Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Essential Responsibilities: Drive Oracle/PeopleSoft Financial Systems effectiveness and accounting integrity through ongoing systems maintenance and enhancements, user support and financial process controls. Provide systems and reporting leadership around period close activities including sub-ledger transactions monitoring, reporting data integrity, finance user support and issue remediation. Analyze and evaluate requirements for systems solutions and enhancements that improve business processes and/or provide increased controllership. Analyze and evaluate requirements for systems solutions and enhancements that will help on board acquisition as well as support any divestitures. Analyze and evaluate requirements for systems solutions for Corporate-driven initiatives as well as Business-driven initiatives (upgrades, simplification opportunities, acquisition integrations, etc) Provide guidance to PeopleSoft team of offshore IT systems support resources around finance system maintenance, Period Close coverage, user support and miscellaneous programs. Leverage finance systems experience to ensure systemic tie to processes and help remediate accounting disconnects. Leverage lean, simplification and six sigma tools to increase finance systems effectiveness and productivity. Support SOX 404 compliance activities around system transaction monitoring, data integrity and user access controls. This would include Internal & External Audit and Compliance Support. Ensure quality controls around systems setups and maintenance required for accurate accounting through defined processes, staff training and ongoing monitoring. Support ASC 606 Revenue Recognition rules effective 1/1/2018. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 3 additional years of Finance experience. ERP experience - Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or Oracle Finance modules and reporting tools. Experience with PeopleSoft/Oracle ERP maintenance and end user support models. Business Reporting tools experience including ability to translate business requirements into reporting deliverables. (i.e. Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects, PeopleSoft queries, OBIEE & Spotfire Dashboards). Experience with interfaced systems like Salesforce.com/Apttus/Concur/SSP & other GE ecosystems. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Desired Characteristics: Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle/PeopleSoft, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup & Macros) Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle/PeopleSoft, SAP Business Objects, Salesfore.com/Apttus, OBIEE, Spotfire, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup & Macros) Demonstrated experience with Financial Systems support including setup maintenance, transaction flow optimization, end user support/training and financial activities support (i.e. closing the books). Experience with enterprise data warehouse w/ report design, tuning and data structure Working knowledge of Oracle & Finance modules and reporting tools. SQL skills. Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing Project management experience with multi-national resources Experience working in a matrixed environment Adaptable/flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma.
