Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Description: Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 2 nd responsible person in charge of MWB Supervising the overall safe installation of the project as specified and determined in the Project Installation Procedure, liaising with offshore operations and PMT, daily to ensure continuity of works and to report on progress Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices Familiarity with the contents of the offshore operations HSES procedures , ensuring that all supervisory personnel are also aware of the procedures Following the instructions and responsibilities within the Emergency Response Procedures and advising crew of their responsibilities Ensuring all McDermott Offshore Operations Procedures are followed Attend interface meetings/pre shift meetings with all shift supervisors to discuss planned events, and to ensure regular lines of communications are adhered to by all supervisors to maximize safety/efficiency/productivity Ensuring manning levels are maintained for safe operations of the projects Control Marine movements, if instructed by Superintendent in relation to sire, and in particular, ensure all vessels are moored in accordance with pre-approved procedures, ensure all necessary emergency drills are held at he required intervals, ensure timely reporting is made, and records are kept, of all injuries, near misses, incidents, property and /or environmental damage Follow all company policies and procedures, and ensuring subordinates do the same Travel Up to 50% Job Status Full Time Job Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Eight years experience in the offshore construction industry Extended knowledge and experience in Marine and Subsea operations with at least 5 years experience in a similar role DOCM Certificate/Training/DP Awareness/OVM College Degree Preferred Ability to lead teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills Valid Offshore Medical BOSIET Training or Equivalent (OPITO approved) Fluent both in spoken and written English McDermott offers a competitive compensation package, excellent benefits coverage, and an exceptional opportunity for career development and growth.
