Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Position Summary: Design, implement and support private/public cloud datacenter compute (server, storage, backup) infrastructure environments. Provide input on overall system architecture. Test and evaluate systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Provide expertise regarding best practices and optimal system design. This position requires comprehensive knowledge within a functional area. Performs work under general direction and work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives and ensuring compliance with processes, standards and policies of the organization. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult and complex problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical and consistent with the objectives of the organization. This position may train and mentor less experienced professionals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Microsoft Server installation, management and related security group functions, roles, and support of related functionality in a private/public cloud environment. Enterprise Linux server environments and OS installation and management. Coordinate and manage the work of third-parties to integrate cloud environment and SaaS/IaaS outsourced solutions. Microsoft SCCM 2012 architecture, configuration and administration for patch management, software distribution, operating system deployment, network access protection and hardware and software inventory. Microsoft PKI infrastructure and management. Isolate, coordinate and resolve performance problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools and techniques. Provide guidance and direction to less experienced administrators on department processes and complex technical issues. Maintain knowledge of best practices and make proactive recommendations to function leadership. Schedule planned outages and coordinate with stakeholders. Tune, adjust and perform routine operation checks on equipment. Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field. In lieu of a degree, six (6) years directly related experience will be considered. Five (5) years directly related experience in the design, support and management of Microsoft Server OS, Enterprise Linux OS and related server hardware platforms in a private cloud environment. Experience with Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012(R2) / 2016 preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server environments and enterprise Linux server environments. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems, user environment policies related to securing the desktop and patching methodologies. Knowledge of SCCM architecture, configuration and administration. Ability to coordinate the work of third-parties to ensure effective and timely solutions for integration projects and daily troubleshooting. Work independently; with guidance in only the most complex situations. Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems. Strong data management skills; ability to audit, format, model and analyze large data sets. Ability to distill data and analysis into high-level reports and summaries. Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to discern data inaccuracies through technical experience and knowledge. Ability to develop system solutions for operational problems. Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications. Ability to plan, implement, test and troubleshoot system software. Strong collaboration skills in order to partner effectively across various levels of the organization. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of systems and/or applications. Strong organization and process improvement skills. Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities. Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility. Ability to interact with internal business partners at a senior and management level to clarify requirements and business needs for changes and enhancements. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet business needs, including prioritizing the work of others on the team, when needed. Ability to learn and utilize a working knowledge of broad business environment, energy industry, and corporate operations. Ability to interact in a team environment. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to anticipate new situations and/or changing demands and respond proactively to enhance division/business unit financial performance. Ability to identify creative and innovative solutions to resolve problems. Ability to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the company s ethics code of conduct and other company policies and procedures. Ability to demonstrate respect for all individuals and adhere to the company s values and business practices. Physical Requirements: Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand, walk, bend or stoop for extended periods of time. Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment. Working Conditions: Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines. Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubical, open office or private office. Ability to travel occasionally to work or field locations, and/or to attend meetings or training, including overnight stays. Subject to normal office noise levels.
