Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Lead and execute the enterprise data governance and quality strategy with recurring milestones and appropriate expectation management with executive sponsors. Manage a centralized COE for supporting standard Business Intelligence and Analytical platforms and tools. Partnering with the Data Architecture lead in testing and managing new data technology platforms for use by data science teams. Including Hadoop, Sparc, etc. Work with line of business operations teams in delivering operational reports, and proactively driving strategy on reporting platform, and operational analytics. Work with chief marketing officer and line of business digital teams in tagging and reporting on key digital assets. Drive adoption of Master Data Management solutions and capabilities across the Enterprise. Initial focus being customer data. Build 3rd party data hub, and support business strategy to better leverage 3rd party data into business processes. Managing both opportunities and risk of greater external data leverage. Participate on the Enterprise Data Office leadership team in executing on organization mission and strategies. Support development of talent in both Hartford and Charlotte, while helping reduce dependency on vendors. Qualifications Bachelor s degree or Master s degree in relevant field. 5 years of experience leading data initiatives across large complex organizations. 10 years of data management experience such as BI reporting, analytics, data stewardship, data quality management, data governance, data process ownership and/or data manufacturing. Relationship management, execution & delivery. Proven experience partnering with Business Intelligence, Analytical, Actuarial, &/or Data Science communities. Proven ability to simplify technology and data concepts for business stakeholders to help drive adoption. Must be a team player with demonstrated customer and delivery focus. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate with senior management. Big picture Actionable plan to execute. Results oriented with the demonstrated ability to apply strategic and decisive problem solving skills in ambiguous situations. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Leadership Strong leadership and influencing skills at the senior management level. Proven ability to create a high performing team that has a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and is focused on business value and outcomes.
