Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Your responsibilities as Manager of Digital Software Engineering are: Be passionate about driving and leading your team to success and help them to excelGrow the digital engineering team by hiring as well as developing engineers within your existing teamInterface and communicate regularly with senior leadership across the enterprise Lead the release train and sprint planning efforts, and prioritize tasks for the software engineering teamTrain and mentor internal and external team membersLead efforts to define and blueprint use case, drive those initiatives through engineering, and take ownership of the deliverablesHave the ability to be a hands-on contributor during the entire development cycle from conception & design all the way through release Basic Requirements: Four year degree from an accredited School or University, obtaining a STEM degree 5 plus years of experience in Information Technology. 3 plus years of experience in a leadership role. 5 plus years of object orientated development. Top Candidates Will Also have: Significant leadership experience managing highly technical teams Advanced degree in computer science, or similar field A minimum of 3 years of experience delivering analytics based software/applications Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to dive deep and getting things done. Demonstrated project management experience High level of expertise in agile software development End-to-end ownership of projectsStellar listening and explanation skills Strong software design and architecture skills Thorough knowledge of data structures, algorithms, profiling/optimization, and Object-Oriented and Functional Programming Strong programming skills, ideally JavaScript Experience with building high-performance, large-scale, and user-friendly software applications and tools Relocation assistance is available for this position.
