Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The incumbent shall assist in the preparation and analysis of the financial statements using existing auditing software: specifically the Audit Command Language (ACL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software and other tools, using the existing coding and documentation of that coding. This analysis shall include validating completeness of data, tracing of transactions through the systems and other financial analyses, root cause analyses of non-compliant financial system transactions, monthly year-to-year and quarterly quarter-to-quarter balance fluctuation, and identification of issues that could present audit risk for the client. Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Business, Public Administration or related field Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance 2 to 4 years of experience performing financial statement audits and/or auditability assessments, reviewing, analyzing, validating, and reconciling financial/accounting information Knowledge of and experience improving Federal accounting and transaction process, internal control objectives and generally accepted accounting principles Knowledge of OMB Circular A-123 documentation, Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR), testing and reporting requirements Knowledge Audit Command Language (ACL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software and other tools, using the existing coding and documentation of that coding. Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools Preferred: Experience working at the Department of Homeland Security Consulting experience in any of the following areas: business process improvement, financial management policies and procedures, financial system integrations, etc. Familiarity with U.S. government financial accounting systems such as Oracle financials Certifications including CPA, CDFM, CGFM, CFA, CIA Additional Keywords or Acronyms Position Selling Points & Notes This is a base plus 4 year contract.
