Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Summary Guides the Information Technology (IT) Compliance team in mapping policy requirements and changes to develop effective security processes. Ensures that IT Governance staff is trained and assigned to projects that address the overarching concerns of IT Risk Management, including risk posture, policy compliance, and compliance burden. Maintains strong working relationships with business areas that interact with IT Policy & Risk Assessment processes in a complex manner or on a frequent, on-going basis. The level of work required is considered advanced and the individual must be able to work under minimal supervision. This job has direct reports. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Defines and implements practice enhancements that go beyond the policy requirements of the risk evaluation process and/or the Federal Reserve s Information System Standards Ensures that IT Policy & Risk Assessment internal controls are robust and well managed Serves as thought leader in identifying policy and process gaps and works collaboratively with other departments (i.e., IS Engineering, Internal Audit, and Enterprise Risk Management) in the design and implementation of improvements in risk posture, compliance burden, and policy compliance Assists in managing the entire policy lifecycle from information gathering, drafting, approval, and dissemination Researches, develops and tracks statistical and trend analyses on the status of technology risk and compliance issues based on assessment results and information from various monitoring and control systems Educates IT and the business about security polices and consults on security issues regarding user built/managed systems Serves as a key team member and central point of contact during internal audit processes Reviews evidence provided by departments to document remediation of internal control issues or that support the closure of action plans. Evaluates recommendations provided by staff regarding the sufficiency of the evidence Represents the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance on IT projects regarding security issues Manages and participates in the planning and implementation of security administration for IT projects, including security investigations, implementation of corrective actions and process improvement Directs, manages, and coaches staff; evaluates staff performance and assists staff with development plans Develops schedules and assignments for the IT Policy & Risk Assessment team Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in business, information technology, or other related field or equivalent work experience 5 years of experience in risk management, audit or information security disciplines Knowledge and Skills Ability to communicate risk and compliance subjects to multiple audiences, including technicians (e.g., IS Liaisons and IS Engineers), business persons, senior management and formal committees (e.g., Risk Policy and District Leadership) Able to coordinate the work of multiple staff, and to work in different capacities and on multiple IT security projects Mastery of presentation software Strong project management experience Familiarity with common information security frameworks Industry certification, such as CISSP, preferred Good public speaking skills; strong written/verbal communication; some negotiation skills Strong research and analysis skills; ability to identify the type of analysis appropriate for a situation and, at times, delegate to staff Other Requirements and Physical Requirements.
