Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The successful candidate will have experience in developing and executing a market-facing, strategic growth agenda in a consumer or retail business. S/he will know how to link growth and improvement strategies to simple and executable processes tied to clear metrics and achievable goals. In particular, this executive will bring an investment mindset and will know how to look beyond the numbers to see where the real financial and growth levers for the company lie, and be able to develop sustainable growth strategies for the company to drive these levers. Business Partnering This executive is the most senior and important thought partner to the CEO and senior leadership team in developing and implementing strategic growth plans in a competitive consumer environment. This executive will be a superb business operator, with significant intellectual horsepower and a curious mindset. S/he will lead by example, with a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality and a collaborative but decisive management style. Executing for Results Technical skills are a must have but will not be sufficient for this role. This is a role for a clear business thinker, able to collaborate with business leaders and the private equity owners and lead others in achieving financial and operational objectives. S/he will achieve results by understanding the business and pro actively developing and advancing creative, pragmatic ideas and solutions. This individual will set high expectations and goals for personal and group accomplishment, holding teams accountable to meet or exceed those goals, and clearly communicating expectations to the organization. Leading Teams The successful candidate must be a natural leader, possessing the ability to quickly establish credibility with an existing team. S/he will have a clear strength in evaluating talent and finance function structures to deliver efficient and effective functional support. In addition, s/he will be accessible, engaging and interactive with his/her team, peers, and colleagues and possess an ability to develop respect, loyalty, cooperation, and trust at all levels. Building Relationships and Using Influence This executive will be an articulate, engaging and persuasive individual, who is able to quickly build trust and credibility with both internal and external constituencies particularly in one-on-one and small group settings. S/he will be adept at rigorous analyses, logical, fact-based arguments, comprehensive yet simple presentations, as well as quick thinking and response to rapid-fire, incisive questioning.
