Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities include but not limited to: Implement Virtualized hybrid VMware solution with integration with Cisco devices and VMware NSX Provide principal level Tier 3 network engineering to assist project team Install, configure, harden, and implement secure solutions utilizing NSX, vSphere, vSAN, and vSOM Design and develop secure network engineering plan for system consolidation project and document detailed network topology within system design document Set up network infrastructure utilizing best practices for port security, protocol routing, DMZ set-up, and ACL configuration by utilizing all applicable layers within the OSI model Execute secure VMware, Cisco, and NSX network solution to support a Microsoft OS environment to include Windows 2008/2012 R2 Server, SQL Server 2008, SharePoint 2010, Active Directory, DHCP, WSUS, Exchange 2010, Windows 7 and Cisco networking Engineer solution to allow for network data transfer for designated system and cyber security applications Implement network solutions within the NIST Risk Management Framework Provide subject matter expertise assistance for Cisco, Network Engineering, VMWare issues and troubleshooting Work within a hybrid agile and SDLC execution model to deliver assigned tasks on scope and within schedule as two-week iterations to Project Manager Assist with optimal network performance Upgrade network recommendations and confirm servers and network devices/applications are functioning and configured properly Provide systems engineering Tier 3 support utilizing Windows 2008/2012 R2 Server, SQL 2008, SharePoint 2010, Active Directory, DHCP, WSUS, Exchange 2010, Microsoft Office, SCCM, and Windows 7/10 Provide system engineering for VMware VSphere 5.x, Symantec BackupExec, VEEAM, McAfee AV, Lumension, Mathworks, and splunk Harden the OS and Server, and implement information system security solutions in line with RMF requirement Provide IT Systems Engineering support on a wide range of technologies, including: VMware VDI Infrastructure, Symantec Management Platform, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Client Web Browsers, Client Endpoint Security Suites, customer line-of-business applications, and others Position Requirements: Bachelor s degree with 10 - 12 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience Extensive experience with VMWare, vSphere, vSAN, and vSOM Experience with software based routing, switching, ACLs, ports, and protocols Experience implementing network solutions utilizing and configuring secure network tunneling and encrypted protocols DoD 8140/8570 qualified; minimum Security CE required CASP certification preferred CCNP or higher Cisco certification required VMWare certifications desired Good oral and written communication skills Must be open to up to 10% annual local travel Security Requirements: US Citizenship required and active TS clearance with SCI eligibility Qualifications Requires Bachelor s degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or Math) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related (telecommunication analysis) experience. Degrees Equivalent Experience/Education Bachelor's Degree Years of Experience 10-12 years w/Bachelors Degree 07-09 years w/Masters Degree.
