Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting all primary research and quantitative analytics projects within the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics functional area of the Research Evaluation and Data Science Department. This will include analyzing and creating reports on an ad hoc basis using input from end-users and others. Qualifications Bachelor s Degree or higher in business or technology field, with a focus in data analytics preferred. (Equivalent certifications acceptable if work experience supports functional expertise in this area). Entry Level Position, however prior work experience via an internship or part-time work highly desirable. Knowledge of basic statistical applications required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications specifically (Excel, Word and Powerpoint, MS - Access a plus) Sound business ethics, consistency between words and actions and a history of building trust with others. Strong results-orientation, initiative, sense of urgency and reliability. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, relationship-building and presentation skills. Must thrive in a highly competitive, dynamic industry environment Desired: Knowledge working with relational databases and content management software is a bonus. Comfortable working with statistical applications (SAS, R, SPSS, Python, XLSTAT, etc.) Demonstrated aptitude for learning new software and tools for synthesizing information. Experience managing 3rd party behavioral data sets (mapping and appending to current data bases) to provide additional insights, visualizations. Knowledge of Non-Profit structures and operations preferred Confident delivering results to a variety of audiences with different backgrounds and experience Essential Functions Support the Business Intelligence and data analytics team on a wide variety of data analytic projects including but not limited to survey development, survey programming, data formatting, basic analysis, reporting. Collaborative, ability to work within and outside the core team to achieve desired results. Time management, ability to handle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining the highest level of quality. Ability to think outside-the-box, to overcome challenges or find new ways to discover valuable insights that add value to a project. Manage a repository of re-usable data visualization templates and views. Design, develop, & deploy application components. Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Communicate development status and escalate issues to management. Provide ad hoc reporting as requested by staff. Ensure the integrity of data. Cause-Driven Leadership Competencies Values.
