Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Organize and file new U.S. Provisional, Utility, Design, Continuation, CIP, and Divisional Patent cases; Coordinate with foreign counsel to ensure the filing of foreign corollaries of US origin patent cases; Review, Analyze, and Docket incoming correspondence. Prepare and update records in IP manager; Manage all U.S. filed case publication references through coordination with foreign counsel and partners; Manage case databases and system for U.S. origin cases including the identification and resolution of data discrepancies related to case particulars or database anomalies; Manage U.S. origin portfolio including organization of keep/kill decisions through appropriate reporting and communications to partners, as well as coordinating and executing required payments, and verifying appropriate actions have been taken; Manage U.S. origin legal financials, including invoice processing, case based cost reporting, and managing outside counsel cost and quality reporting. Qualifications: Associates Degree required, Bachelor s Degree preferred; 2 years intellectual property experience preferred including significant patent experience; Skills required include strong reading comprehension, excellent oral and written communication skills, good research and organizational skills; Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, database programs, legal software tools such as docketing systems; Proficiency in USPTO EFS and PAIR systems; Experience in online IP search systems, such as Google Patents, Thomson Innovation, Espacenet, etc.
