Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The is accepting applications for a Temporary Construction Assistant with Public Works Street (Landscaping). The employee assists the landscaping and tree maintenance crew with planting, mulching, weeding, spraying, watering, and trimming of landscaped areas within the City; assists with mowing; does related work as required. Prior experience with landscaping work is preferred; operation of gas powered hand tools such as string trimmer, back pack blower, etc. used for landscape maintenance. The employee must be able to work outside for extended periods of time. The work is physical and requires lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods of time. Employee must possess a valid driver's license issued by the State of Tennessee. This position does not have benefits. A pre-employment background screening is required.
